The EPEA is excited to announce its next training conference in Skopje, from Tuesday afternoon, November 11th, until Saturday noon, November 15th. Under the theme ‘Let’s Talk’, we warmly invite our community to come together and join the conversation.

19th EPEA Conference in Skopje, North Macedonia, November 11th – 15th 2025

General Information

EPEA have decided to have the next training conference in Skopje from Tuesday afternoon, November 11th, until Saturday noon, November 15th.

Our partner in North Macedonia is EKE Bitola, an NGO involved in Education in prison and known from cooperation in the framework of Erasmus+ projects.

The programme will offer around 20 training workshops as well as keynotes speakers and round tables in the plenary.

So that potential participants can apply for Erasmus + funding, we wish to provide the following information

The main objectives of the conference are:

• Learn about the reality in Education in Prison all over Europe
• Exchange of expertise from all professions involved in Education in Prison
• Know more about best practices in Education in Prison
• Learn from practitioner’s and researcher’s expertise
• •Exchange of experiences in the daily life of teaching in prison
• Reflecting on one’s own professional experience in Education in Prison
• Building up a personal network for continuing sustainable exchange after the conference.

The conference fee will be:

• EPEA members 390€
• Non-members 450€

reduced fee by 50% for

• contributors (speakers and workshop leaders)
• participants from the CoE countries in Eastern and Southern Europe (AD, AL, AM, AZ, BA, CY, CZ, EE, ES, GE, GR, HR, HU, IT, LT, LV, MD, ME, MK, MT, PL, PT, RO, RS, SK, SI, TR)

The fee is in line with the recent EPEA conferences.

The conference fee will include all meals except one lunch. Accommodation will be available at the venue and will cost €90 per room and person per night (twin rooms for 2 persons are available and cost 105€)

Preferably you stay at the venue, but you can stay anywhere in the city and is the participant’s responsibility to arrange this.
